(12/12/09)We started our day out at the Hueytown Christmas Parade, we had a breakfast picnic in the back of the car and then meet up with some friends. Tammy and Carlee. It was a good parade, it lasted almost an hour, Abby really had the hang of it this year, she was after the candy! Then we went to Laytons 4th birthday party where ELMO came in to surprise all the children. They had hotdogs, cake and ice cream, opened presents, and made magic wands. Abby had a great time. Thanks Paige for inviting us. Abby and Elmo.

 

We had my moms side of the family Christmas party at our house Saturday night. We played White Elephant, it saved everybody a little money and we all had fun playing it. My cousin Jennifer gave the girls gifts to open, they had the best time playing with their princess wands, and crowns. Then we got them to sing songs like Jingle Bells and Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, they were so cute!

Breakfast with Santa

(12/10/09)Today was breakfast with Santa at Abbys school. We rode on the bus around to the other side of the church, they played Christmas music and we sang songs, they thought that was so fun. Yummy breakfast! Abby and some of her friends, Lucas who she thinks is so funny, and Emma who she takes gymnastics with, and Mrs. Kelley. Santa brought them all a stuffed animal, then time for a group picture. After the K2 group left these two sweet little ladies put on a skit for the children about keeping Jesus in Christmas. Oh and what's that... Santa is taking a nap?!?! Well the ladies were telling them Christmas is about Jesus! Emma said "Abbys mom Santa Clause is asleep!!" We decided that he had come a long way from the north pole to see them and he was tired! Too funny!

Christmas Program at Church

(12/6/09)Tonight was the preschool and children choir Christmas program. It was in the gym this year and there were table set up,everybody brought something so there was a ton of goodies, after everybody went through the line the program started. First the older children came out they sang some songs, and you can tell the boys rocked it out to the jingle bell rock on the guitars! Abby put her hands over her mouth and just giggled when those boys were being so silly. And then her group came out, they sang 4 songs all by themselves then a couple more with everybody. Abby was waving over and over to us, espically Madison and Carlee, she was so cute and did so good, she knew all the words and the hand motions. I was so proud of her!! At the end they all sang together, we all had candles, it was beautiful. Cindy, Abbys teacher, has the most beautiful voice and she sang with them. The song lasted for several minutes, with everyone holding their lit candles, the atmosphere, and the message of the song it was truly beautiful (tear jerking). To be there with both of my parents, my brothers two girls, both of Jasons parents, his sister and her little girl, and some other family and to have my little girl involved, it is something I will never forget, kind of surreal I guess. (12/5/09)This morning Abby was suppose to be cleaning up her room, this is what she was doing! Happy Birthday Carlee!! She had a western themed party at Storyville and the girls loved it. Abby was all ready for bed and when she got done brushing her teeth there was a suprise from BJ. It is a princess Christmas count down. She wanted this so bad earlier but I talked her out of it and what do you know she got it anyway. That seems to happen ALOT.

Abbys Birthday Party at School

(12/4/09)Today was Abbys birthday party at school. We had a cookie cake, puff corn and juice. She was so proud for it to be her party. She wanted butterflys so that was our theme. It's hard having a birthday so close to Christmas, so we try to make sure not to have anything Christmas related. Do you think she lookes a little excited? We were walking out and she was holding on tight to her balloons. This was Abbys birthday party at Mothers Day Out last year when she turned 3. I took pink and green cupcakes and pink and green balloons to match her outfit.

12/2/09 Tonight was rehearsal for the preschool and childrens choir at church, Abby did so good, the program is going to be so cute. We stayed down there to watch and I must say that all the hard work that goes into it year after year from all the dedicated workers is much appreciated. So thank you to Cindy, Carol, Brandi, Joey and all the others. Afterwards they had cupcakes and juice. When we got home BJ was in Abbys room coloring! She thought that was so funny and she colored with him. The rule in the book is that you can't touch him or he will fly away, so she and I went in her playroom to get the crayon bucket and by the time we came back he had already flown up to her tree. I thought she looked cute in her snowman outfit so I tried to get a few pictures of her in front of her tree and you can see how much luck I had.

BJ our Elf

He's back! BJ our Elf on the Shelf is back, every Thanksgiving weekend when we are putting the decorations on the tree BJ shows up somewhere on the tree. I was picking Abby up to hang an ornament and there he was. There was a note under the tree folded so her name was showing, she was so excited! This is the third year he has come to our house so to help us get ready for Christmas, so I guess now it's tradition. He is a very sneaky little elf, and is already hopping all over the house, Abby has fun trying to find him in all his hiding places. Let the fun begin!!!

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving day started with lunch at the Tanners. This is Abby one month before her 4th birthday and Maggie 8 months old. Bob and Cherry worked hard in the kitchen and we had a great lunch. Then we were off to Granny Jos for lunch again. Jim and Andrea came up from Florida and Jack, Mary, Amy and Phillip came in from Georgia. (Yes that is a picture of Andrea and HER motorcycle.) This was our "thankful" tree, we all wrote what we were thankful for and hung it up. With out a doubt everybody was thankful for family, jobs, health, and home. After sitting around for a while we were off to the barn so Caleb and Jared and Haley could ride Dusty. Even Amy got to ride him, she grew up with horses so she was a natural, I got a picture of her giving lessons in the tack room.

Thanksgiving at Aunt Lindas

Wednesday night kicked off our Thanksgiving, we went to Aunt Linda and Uncle Stewarts house and ate such good food. It was so good to see everybody, all the kids were there except Terrells and we will see them at Christmas. Between 7 grandkids we have 8 children and 1 on the way. Congratulations Leslie! The girls had so much fun playing in this small pile of leaves they left just for the kids to play in. Abby thought it was the best thing, this was her first pile of leaves to play in because we don't really have any trees, who knew she would have this much fun?!

Saturday Bridget and I got to catch up and let our little girls play, they hit it off and had a great time.

(11/15/09) Sunday was Kenleys birthday party at Parties On The Move. (I didn't have my camera so this is off my phone.) They all had a blast jumping and eating cake and ice cream. Happy 5th birthday Kenley.

Abbys Christmas Tree

(11/14/09)Didn't they do a good job?!?! Saturday we started bring up Christmas trees, I put Abbys in her room but that is all I had done. It got really quiet in there and when I went to check on them they were so proud of how well they had decorated the tree. It was so cute, they had a princess cd player, doctor toys, panties, hair barrettes,necklaces,bracelets, notebook keychains, bubble wands, tea pots,and other odd and end toys on the tree. (Excuse the vanity I had pulled it off the wall where the tree goes.)

Thanksgiving Program at School

(11/13/09)Abby did so good today at her Thanksgiving program, she sang her little heart out, then had a ball running around afterwards. Jason and I and her GranJan and Pops were all there and Jason Tammy and Gaylan. They had tables set up in the gym with centerpeices that were made by the kids in the diferent classes. They served vegetable soup and cornbread Abby and Carlee after the program then Carlee spent the rest of the day at our house playing.

Operation Christmas Child

(10/13/09)We signed up to buy socks and underwear for a boy and a girl age 4-6 for the Operation Christmas Child. Abby was so proud to take them to school and I think she sort of understood why we were buying them for someone else because she picked out some new panties but I told her we weren't buying anything for her tonight and told her about little boys and girls that need things and she (for the most part) agreed.

Popsicle Truck

(11/08/09)Madison came over to play Sunday. The popsicle truck came and then they had fun playing on the swing set.

(11/07/09)While we were shopping today one of the booths was selling letter art, it was letters of your last name framed and every letter was different, found on unique things, but at $12 per letter I thought I would make my own. So later Jeanna noticed an old timey plow that was in the shape of a T so now if i can find an A two N's an E and a R I will have me a neat peice of art.

Homestead Hollow

(11/7/09)Today we went to Homestead Hollow and met Cherry,Jeanna and Maggie there, it was a beautiful day to be outside. Abby did the trampoline and got to tell Santa Clause what she wanted for Christmas, which was a trampoline, we ate homemade ice cream and did some shopping.

Chocolate

(10/31/09)GranJan got back from her trip to South Carolina with her sister Mary for her 60th birthday and she brought Abby back a yummy peice of chocolate. I thought it was too cute to eat so I had to take a picture of it. Then we all enjoyed eating it.

Happy Halloween

(10/31/09) We went to Abbys school for their fall festival, the first thing we saw was a guy on stilts and a wolf mask on with a long black cape. Needless to say she was terrified I knew this Halloween was going to be a little tough with all the scary stuff. After she calmed down she had a good time, she play games and played in the blow ups. She saw her teacher Mrs.Kelly and her gymnastics teacher. She got her face painted and we ate hot dogs and then finally went home to rest up for trick or treating! Gran Jan and Pops came over for a while before they went to Carlees house in Sunnydell, Cherry, Jeanna, Maggie and Jabbo came over too. We had Taco soup and had fun hanging out, Abby loved having everybody at her house. Grammy was dressed up as a Gypsy, and Jeanna was dressed up as a Hippie. We have a great neighborhood and had lots of trick or treaters. My sweet little Tinkerbell!!
