Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas! Abby woke up at 8:00 and ran into our bedroom and said "SANTA CAME AND HE BROUGHT A BUNCH OF PRESENTS!!!" She is really into playing school and so she got a bunch of cute pencils, notebooks, stickers, and a ton of little things she has been asking for, she got roller skates, and Dorothy's red slippers in her stocking. After she opened every last gift and was totally content I asked her if she got everything that she had asked Santa for, she thought about it and she was satisfied with what all she had gotten. We kept asking her if she got EVERYTHING she asked for and we finally had to ask her "Didn't you want something else big that you jump on?" She still didn't get it, so we told her to go look out the window in the backyard. She was so surprised when she saw a huge trampoline right outside the kitchen window. (You mean Santa could have gotten away without bring that huge trampoline???) Santa didn't get to tie down the net in time with all the wind and rain we have been having but, he did bring her a trampoline. Jasons family came over for breakfast and then my mom and dad came with Carlee and Madison, and stayed awhile, then Jasons Aunt Kay and Uncle Rick came by. We had a wonderful Christmas, it just doesn't get any better than this, Abby being at such a great age, and having all of our family here to share all these moments with!

Christmas Eve

We went to Grammy and Grand Bobs house where we ate and then Cherry read her annual poem of what all has happened to each of us during the year, then we all go on a hunt for our gifts, we find one clue that leads us to the next, we did this about 5 times then we finally found our gifts, we had fun doing it. Abby loved her horse that Grammy gave her and her red headed doll Uncle Jabbo gave her. Then we were off to GranJan and Pops house to eat again, and then time for gifts, GranJan wanted them to wear their matching white dresses, because they were getting their American Girl bitty baby dolls with matching outfits. They also got real violins and violin lesson, I think we were in shock and forgot to take pictures of that but I will take some and post. GranJan and I helped the girls make a gingerbread house, they were into too. Didn't they do good?! They had matching PJ's to match their babies. Then they watched the news to see where Santa was, and when the weather man said it was time for little kids to get into bed they all screamed, and said they were ready to go!!

Cookies for Santa

Today Abby and Pops made sugar cookies, and when we got home we decorated them for Santa!
This morning when Abby got ready to go to Pops house,(schools out) I told her to hurry and brush her teeth it was time to go, and look what that silly elf had done to her mirror, he wrote Happy Birthday with LIPSTICK. After work we celebrated her birthday at GranJan and Pops, I didn't get there until almost 7:00 and she was so anxious she had been looking at them all day, and tore into them as soon as I got there. She got a Tinkerbell movie from us, and GranJan gave her the #4 glass figurine that she has given her every year, and Pops gave her a pearl that he has giving her every year. And an iPod, really an iPod for a 4 year old but that's what she wanted, with the Big Green Tractor on it so that is what she got! Abby and Pops made her a birthday cake with lots of sprinkles. Happy Birthday sweet girl!!

Christmas at Lindas

We had our Christmas party on my dads side of the family. Eddie did his traditional toboggans for everyone, the girls sang Christmas song, and Julies little boy,Cooper, Randalls little boy, Clay, and Terrells little girl Addison (his little boy Harrison was not interested in getting up there)all joined in. Terrell read a story out of the bible, everybody put an ornament on the tree with our names on it, and the kids opened a present from Aunt Linda, and of course we had a good meal before all the fun. Our attempt to get a good picture of the girls and baby Bronson. This is Aunt Linda and Uncle Stewarts whole family, with one on the way. Leslie is 21weeks pregnant with a girl.

BJ ROLLED ABBYS ROOM

When Abby got out of the bathtub and got dressed she was surprised to see what her mischievous elf had done to her room. She had so much fun playing with the toilet paper, I will be glad when it's time for this elf to head back to the North Pole!!

Christmas Party

Today was our family Christmas party on Jasons side of the family, we had good food and swapped gifts. Abby got a neat magic paint kit I have already been given beautiful artwork! Notice the picture where she was telling me I AM SMILING!! When we got home we took Abbys picture outside with the letters Jason made for the yard, I never added the glitter to them, and I am just now doing Christmas cards, but I figure better late than never.

My work.

Jason and Abby picked me up from work Friday night so I had to snap a few pictures.

Abbys parties this week

Tuesday night parents got to watch at dance, Abby was so cute, she knew everything she was suppose to do and she acted like she really likes it. She doesn't tell me much about practice each week, so I was glad to see she likes it. I hope she does good a the recital in the spring when they have to say their name and cross the stage all by themselves!! Then on Thursday night Abbys cheernastics class had parent watch night and a little party, then the girls had an ornament swap. And Friday was her party at school. The children took turns passing out the stocking stuffers that they brought, then they had snacks and got to open the presents Santa brought them! Abby went to Santa Shop and got me bubble bath and Jason bungee cords, she knows us so well.

(12/12/09)We started our day out at the Hueytown Christmas Parade, we had a breakfast picnic in the back of the car and then meet up with some friends. Tammy and Carlee. It was a good parade, it lasted almost an hour, Abby really had the hang of it this year, she was after the candy! Then we went to Laytons 4th birthday party where ELMO came in to surprise all the children. They had hotdogs, cake and ice cream, opened presents, and made magic wands. Abby had a great time. We had my moms side of the family Christmas party at our house Saturday night. We played White Elephant, it saved everybody a little money and we all had fun playing it. My cousin Jennifer gave the girls gifts to open, they had the best time playing with their princess wands, and crowns. Then we got them to sing songs like Jingle Bells and Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, they were so cute!

Breakfast with Santa

(12/10/09)Today was breakfast with Santa at Abbys school. We rode on the bus around to the other side of the church, they played Christmas music and we sang songs, they thought that was so fun. Yummy breakfast! Abby and some of her friends, Lucas who she thinks is so funny, and Emma who she takes gymnastics with, and Mrs. Kelley. Santa brought them all a stuffed animal, then time for a group picture. After the K2 group left these two sweet little ladies put on a skit for the children about keeping Jesus in Christmas. Oh and what's that... Santa is taking a nap?!?! Well the ladies were telling them Christmas is about Jesus! Emma said "Abbys mom Santa Clause is asleep!!" We decided that he had come a long way from the north pole to see them and he was tired! Too funny!

Christmas Program at Church

(12/6/09)Tonight was the preschool and children choir Christmas program. It was in the gym this year and there were table set up,everybody brought something so there was a ton of goodies, after everybody went through the line the program started. First the older children came out they sang some songs, and you can tell the boys rocked it out to the jingle bell rock on the guitars! Abby put her hands over her mouth and just giggled when those boys were being so silly. And then her group came out, they sang 4 songs all by themselves then a couple more with everybody. Abby was waving over and over to us, espically Madison and Carlee, she was so cute and did so good, she knew all the words and the hand motions. I was so proud of her!! At the end they all sang together, we all had candles, it was beautiful. Cindy, Abbys teacher, has the most beautiful voice and she sang with them. The song lasted for several minutes, with everyone holding their lit candles, the atmosphere, and the message of the song it was truly beautiful (tear jerking). To be there with both of my parents, my brothers two girls, both of Jasons parents, his sister and her little girl, and some other family and to have my little girl involved, it is something I will never forget, kind of surreal I guess. Abby with a mouth full of candy cane.
